Affiliate Disclosure
How this site makes money, stated plainly, because you should be able to judge our advice knowing what is behind it.
The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may receive a small commission from that retailer. It costs you nothing extra. It does not change what we recommend.
How we are funded
Everything on PUBG.co.za is free, with no account, no paywall and no premium tier. Two things pay for the hosting and the time.
Advertising
We display advertising through Google AdSense. We do not choose the individual adverts, and their presence is not an endorsement. Ads never appear inside the tools themselves, because a calculator interrupted by an advert is a worse calculator.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links to retailers and top-up platforms are affiliate links. If you follow one and make a purchase, the retailer pays us a percentage of that sale. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be if you had gone there directly.
Where affiliate links appear
Chiefly on pages about buying things — most obviously our guide to buying UC in South Africa and the UC price calculator. Guides about sensitivity settings, weapons, maps and ranked play contain no affiliate links at all, because there is nothing to buy.
What this does not change
This is the part that matters, so here is the commitment in specifics rather than in general reassurance.
- We recommend the option that is right, not the one that pays. Our UC guide recommends the in-game store as the safest option for anyone who wants maximum security — and we earn nothing from it. We say so anyway, because it is true.
- We do not rank by commission. Our comparisons are ordered by what we think serves you best. The UC price calculator does not favour any store; it simply divides the price you enter by the UC you receive and reports the answer.
- We do not accept payment for reviews or placements. No company can pay to appear in a guide, to be rated higher, or to have a competitor removed.
- We do not hide the downsides of things we link to. Where an option has a drawback, the page says so.
- We will not link to anything we consider unsafe, at any commission rate. We decline affiliate arrangements with grey-market currency sellers, and no amount of money will change that — the whole point of our UC guide is warning people away from exactly those sellers.
Programmes we may participate in
We may earn commission from retailers and platforms including regional game top-up services and electronics retailers. Where a specific link is an affiliate link, it goes to a legitimate, established business — never to an unverified reseller.
We do not sell anything ourselves
To be completely clear: PUBG.co.za does not sell UC, accounts, top-ups or in-game items. We do not process payments. We do not take your card details. We never ask for your account password. Every purchase discussed on this site happens on somebody else’s platform, under their terms.
If anyone contacts you claiming to represent this site and offers to sell you game currency, it is a scam. Please report it to us.
Why we disclose this
Partly because advertising standards and consumer protection rules require it. Mostly because a recommendation is only worth something if you know what is behind it, and a site that hides its commissions is asking you to trust it while withholding the information you would need in order to.
