About PUBG.co.za
An independent PUBG Mobile guide site run from South Africa. Here is who we are, how we work out what we publish, and how the site pays for itself.
What this site is
PUBG.co.za publishes free guides and browser-based tools for PUBG MOBILE players. We started it because most PUBG advice online falls into one of two categories: thin pages rewritten from other thin pages, or content written for players sitting 20 ms from a server in Singapore. Neither is much use if you are playing from Johannesburg on 160 ms.
So we write for the game as it is actually played here — including the parts nobody else covers, like which server region to pick from South Africa, how to compare UC prices in rands, and how to adjust your play for latency you cannot get rid of.
What this site is not
We are an independent fan site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to KRAFTON, Inc., PUBG Corporation, Level Infinite or Tencent Games in any way. All PUBG trademarks and game content belong to their respective owners.
We also do not, and will never:
- Sell UC, accounts, top-ups or in-game items.
- Ask for your account password or login details — no legitimate service ever needs these.
- Distribute or link to hacks, mods, aimbots or modified game files. These get accounts permanently banned, and we would rather you kept yours.
- Publish "UC generator" nonsense. It does not exist.
If anyone contacts you claiming to represent this site and offers you any of the above, it is not us. Please let us know so we can warn other readers.
How we research what we publish
Being straight about this matters, because a lot of gaming sites present guesswork as fact.
Weapon statistics
Krafton does not publish a weapon stat sheet for PUBG MOBILE. Every damage, fire-rate, magazine and velocity figure on this site is a community-measured value, cross-checked across multiple sources and against in-game testing, and recorded against a specific patch — currently patch 4.5, last reviewed 25 July 2026.
These are reliable for the purpose our tools use them for, which is comparing weapons against each other. They are not official numbers, and a balance patch can move any of them. Where we have made a judgement rather than taken a measurement — our controllability rating is the main example — the page says so explicitly.
Guides
Written by people who play the game, tested in matches rather than transcribed from other websites. Every guide carries the date it was last reviewed so you can judge for yourself how current it is. When something changes in a patch and makes a guide wrong, we update the guide rather than quietly leaving it up.
Prices
We deliberately do not publish UC price tables. Prices in South Africa move with the rand, with store promotions and with in-game events, and any table we published would be wrong within a fortnight. Instead our UC price calculator works with the prices you can see right now.
How the site is funded
Everything here is free to read and free to use, with no account required. The site is funded in two ways, and we would rather tell you plainly than bury it.
Advertising. We display ads through Google AdSense. Ads never appear inside the tools themselves, and we do not accept paid placements dressed up as editorial.
Affiliate links. Some outbound links to retailers may earn us a small commission if you buy something, at no additional cost to you. This never affects what we recommend — if the safest option is also the one that earns us nothing, we say so, which is why our UC guide recommends the in-game store for people who want maximum safety. Full details are in our affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, we want to know. Game balance shifts, our measurements can be off, and we make mistakes like anyone else. Email hello@pubg.co.za or use the contact form, and if you are right we will fix it and update the review date on the page.
