Best PUBG Mobile Settings for Low-End Phones (More FPS, Less Lag)
A budget phone can absolutely win chicken dinners — but only if you stop the game from trying to look pretty. Every setting below trades visual polish for frames, and frames win fights.
Graphics settings that matter
- Graphics: Smooth. Non-negotiable. Smooth unlocks the highest frame rate your phone supports and strips out effects you will never miss mid-fight.
- Frame rate: High or Ultra — whatever the maximum available option is on Smooth.
- Anti-aliasing: Off. Softer edges are not worth the FPS cost on a small screen.
- Shadows: Off. The single biggest free performance win, and it removes visual clutter enemies can hide in.
- Auto-adjust graphics: On. Lets the game drop detail instead of dropping frames when things get busy.
Phone-side settings
- Close background apps before every session. WhatsApp, Chrome tabs and social apps quietly eat RAM that PUBG Mobile needs.
- Disable battery saver. Power saving modes throttle your processor and cause the exact stutter you are trying to fix. Play plugged in if you can.
- Use your game mode. Samsung Game Booster, Xiaomi Game Turbo and similar tools prioritise the game and silence notifications.
- Cool the phone. Heat is the silent FPS killer — a hot phone throttles itself. Take the case off during long sessions and avoid charging while playing if the phone gets warm.
In-game housekeeping
In the graphics menu, keep brightness at 100 and colour style on Classic or Colorful for enemy visibility. Delete unused resource packs in Settings to free storage — a nearly full phone stutters more. Finally, restart the game every few hours; long sessions slowly leak memory on low-RAM devices.
Match your sensitivity to your real FPS
Sensitivity that works at 90 FPS feels twitchy and uncontrollable at 40 FPS. Once your graphics are locked in, grab the values tuned for your exact phone from our sensitivity settings by device pages.
